7 Gigantic home and away from questions after Australian episodes this week

Home and Away broadcast some highly-promoted episodes this week in Australia, as Bella and Nikau were on the run, and Colby’s killer secret became more challenging to maintain.

Below are seven big questions that we were left with after the most recent episodes.

Bella’s life is spiraling out of control after her father’s body was discovered. Unable to face her interview with the police – and the risk of losing Colby in it – Bella decided to go with her boyfriend Nikau on sprint.

Bella and Nikau fled from their struggles in individual scenes shot in the Blue Mountains and hoped they would never be identified. Yet car problems had put their plans in doubt by the end of the week.

Next week’s trailer brought Nikau, who had split from his girlfriend to get help, to the Paracas and Mackenzie stage, but Bella was suddenly nowhere to be seen. Was there any possibility that the lovebirds will return home in time for a 72-hour deadline for Angelo?

Will Nikau keep Colb’s confidential?

For weeks now, Colby has made the lives of the Parata family a nightmare, but it might be wise for him to be a little better with them in the future. Until their big getaway, Bella had told Nikau all about the fateful day Colby killed Ross.

Nikau was surprised to learn that Colby distanced himself from the strait-laced cop he poses, pointing out the apparent hypocrisy. When Nikau returns, will he ever use his knowledge of Colby’s secret against him, or would he remain silent to protect Bella?

Does Angelo suspect Colby is a killer?

Colby, Dean, and Willow were all faced this week with police questioning the day of Ross’s disappearance. They all coped well with the strain, but Angelo did reflect how well Colby was able to remember events 18 months ago. Only as though it had been rehearsed, right?

Angelo became increasingly irritated when Bella failed to appear for her interview, mainly when Colby tried to make excuses for her troubling disappearing act. Might Angelo already be suspecting Colby’s worst in private?

Why did Nicole and Angelo split up?

Angelo’s return scenes have focused on the case of Ross Nixon, aside from a brief moment with Alf. We hadn’t seen him communicate with other characters who lived when he was last around in Summer Bay.

However, there was a brief mention this week that Angelo split from Nicole Franklin-with whom he left the Bay in 2011. The reasons for why were left vague, but we know this paves the way for Angelo’s wife Taylor’s arrival in the coming episodes.

Will Dean and Ziggy endure the disclosure of Amber’s relationship?

To Dean it was also a life-changing week, as Amber dropped the bombshell, she had a son, Jai, and he’s the father. Dean struggled to get his head around the news, but soon realized he might want to be part of Jai’s life.

Ziggy struggled to process the revelation, wondering where this would leave her as far as Dean’s priority list is concerned. She selflessly agreed to stand by Dean by the end of the week and continue to get this job done. But we’re sure the writers will have plenty of complications up their sleeves – can Ziggy and Dean survive the storm?

How does the twin Evan want?

The week’s shows also saw the first appearance of the second Home and Away character of Cameron Daddo-the brother Owen of Evan Slater.

Roo was shocked to see Owen wandering around Summer Bay, falsely suspecting he could be the ghost of Evan – a hypothesis that superstitious Marilyn was far too happy to power up.

Next week, when Roo and Ryder both come face-to-face with Owen properly, the mystery will be resolved, so we don’t have to wait long to find out his intentions (apart from freaking everyone out, of course).

Can Tori switch the AVO off?

We can’t blame Jasmine for thinking she’s had very mixed signals lately – after applying for the AVO, Tori has scarcely left her solo.

The former friends took the opportunity (still another) this week to discuss their problems and finally find a settlement over baby Grace. Can Tori go one step further by lifting legal Jasmine restrictions?

Should Bella and Nikau go home again?

Bella’s life is spiraling out of control after her father’s body was discovered. Unable to face her interview with the police – and the risk of losing Colby in it – Bella decided to go with her boyfriend Nikau on sprint.

Bella and Nikau fled from their struggles in individual scenes shot in the Blue Mountains and hoped they would never be identified. Yet car problems had put their plans in doubt by the end of the week.
