In Neighbours, one Ramsay Street home is devastated by an unexpected exit, while another is imprisoned with someone who refuses to leave.

When Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) faces issues surrounding her son Josh’s murder, she finds herself in a state of mental upheaval. She goes to her loved ones for comfort, since she is fragile and in need of it, but one of them has vanished. Their leaving has saddened her, but what does David (Takaya Honda) know about it?

Melanie (Lucinda Cowden) is reminiscing about the time Rose (Lucy Durack) showed up at their home. Her connection is sliding away from her grasp, and she doesn’t seem to be able to stop it. Will Ryan Moloney’s Toadie (Ryan Moloney) see the light before it’s too late?

Toadie (Richie Morris), Amy (Jacinta Stapleton), and Ned (Ben Hall) are devastated when Toadie intervenes and puts an end to their love triangle. Amy, on the other hand, has an unexpected trick up her sleeve to sway Toadie’s opinion.

Kyle (Chris Milligan) sets out on a little task that unintentionally reveals Ramsay Street’s sultry secrets.

And Harlow (Jemma Donovan) discovers some information that puts her in a good position to bring Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) down.

Here’s what’s coming up next in Neighbours.

Rose gets shot down

Toadie tries to make a romantic gesture for Mel, but he utterly misses the target, further jeopardising their relationship. Rose moves closer, rubbing her hands with delight. But it’s too late, and Mel gives her a scolding, prompting Toadie to jump to her defence, striking the last nail into Mel’s coffin. Rose is overjoyed, but she takes a step back when Toadie makes it plain that they can’t be together. At least not yet.

Toadie’s heartbreak is compounded when Mel cancels the Father’s Day celebrations she had planned owing to the breakup of their relationship. Rose tries to exploit it as an opportunity to swoop in, but it backfires – especially when Mel watches from afar as Rose tries to make up for the day she lost, and it hurts her. Is it the end of Mel and Toadie’s storey?

Kyle discovers some seductive information

Kyle resolves to produce a documentary on Erinsborough, but with a twist: he intends to film it from the sky. Rather than buying a drone like the rest of us, he slaps a camera on Gary the bird and makes him fly. When Gary returns, though, Kyle is due for a rude awakening: he’s caught some shady dealings on Ramsay Street.

Harlow learns some crucial information

Harlow is still bitter about losing her job at Lassiters, so she believes she’s won the jackpot when she hears that the crew is being given free drinks at the end of their shift without Paul’s knowledge. She can use it against Chloe, but she also knows it will hurt Roxy and the other managers. Harlow knows she’s not a total jerk and resists dobbing on Chloe, but her humility comes back to bother her when Terese starts showering Chloe with accolades left, right, and centre. Harlow thinks that enough is enough and that it’s time to straighten things out.

Is Paul’s secret about to be revealed?

Terese thinks she has to meet Julie in person to confront her demons over her involvement in her son’s death. Paul is hesitant about the notion, not because he is afraid of hurting Terese, but because he is afraid of being discovered. He’s obliged to tell David what he’s done in order to rescue the family, in his opinion. David is plagued with guilt and thinks it’s time to try to rescue the family for himself, but he ends up dissatisfied with himself in the process. What lengths will he go to in order to put things right?

Terese is crushed by the unexpected leave

Terese arrives to the jail and goes undercover to see Julie Quill, the woman responsible for Terese’s son’s death in the explosion. The conversation immediately shifts to the tragic explosion, and Terese is able to express her feelings about Josh’s loss. For her, it seems like she is finally able to put an end to some of the anguish she has been experiencing for years. She can’t help but note, though, that Jesse hasn’t arrived to talk with his mother.

Terese is horrified to discover that Jesse has resigned and is relocating to Sydney when she returns home. She leans on David as a shoulder to cry on, heartbroken. David, she has no idea, is the reason Jesse is packing his belongings and leaving her. David is in a bad way, scarcely recognising the guy he’s becoming. How could he have done this to Terese, and what will happen if he is discovered?

Levi takes on the fizzle

Amy knew it would be difficult to maintain two relationships, and with the interruption of Levi’s mother Evelyn, theirs is the one that is starting to falter. Levi realises they’re drifting apart and realises he’ll have to put in a lot of effort to get things back on track. He intends to interrupt Amy’s sauna session, but when he arrives, he discovers that Ned has already done so. Levi tries to get Amy on her alone because it’s all a bit cringe-worthy for them all. When he does, things don’t go as planned, and it’s apparent that things are over. Is this the end of their relationship?

Triangle is put on hold by Toadie

When Nell asks Toadie a delicate question about Amy’s odd connections after seeing them acting a bit too intimately on the street, he is horrified. Toadie is furious that she has been exposed to Amy’s jumbled love life, and the traumatised child even draws a picture of what she witnessed. He confronts Amy, who is taken aback and seeks assistance from Levi. It provides Amy with the inspiration she requires, and she approaches Toadie with an intriguing offer.

Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, September 27.
