JACQUELINE Jossa has teased an EastEnders comeback – sending fans into meltdown.

The 27-year-old star rose to fame between 2010 and 2018, playing Lauren Branning in the BBC One soap.

Speculation arose that Jac might now return to the series after she won I'm A Celeb last year – and she has now admitted this is a definite possibility.
At an Instagram Q&A, they asked the mother-of-two if she'd play Lauren again.
She replied: "Maybe one day. She's not dead yet." Fans were pleased with the surprise announcement, with one tweeting: "Omg imagine if Jacqueline really went back to EastEnders! It would be the best thing to do in years!"

Another added: "Jac Jossa will make my year returning to EastEnders! Oh my goodness!" A third said to her: "Will love to see you back on Albert Square, gal. It hasn't been the same since you left!" Jacqueline had previously admitted cruel trolls called her "young fat Lauren" when she made her debut in the series ten years ago.

The star filled the role of original actress Madeline Duggan-and Jacqueline said the outrage was caused by the promotional image BBC bosses used of her.

Speculation about her return hit a fever pitch in December when her onscreen boyfriend, Peter Beale, was confirmed to return to Walford.

Lauren had gone to New Zealand for her departure with Peter and son Louis, and last month Dayle Hudson made his seventh actor debut to play Peter.
