Coronation Street confirms Qasim Akhtar’s future amid Zeedan’s exit scenes

In scenes that will run this week, the actor who plays Zeedan Nazir will soon leave the show as his character moves to London to start a new life.

Fans had believed that Qasim would be departing the program permanently, however Metro.co.uk is aware that he isn’t really gone and that Zeedan will keep appearing.

The departure sequences for Zeedan, in which his sister Alya (Sair Khan) bids him farewell as he departs for London, will air in the upcoming episodes.

Shortly after Marrium, the character’s ex-wife, made a cobbles comeback last week, the character decided to depart the street.

When Marrium returned to the street, she told Zeedan and Alya that she couldn’t believe they had stood by as her father Hashim died in front of them without doing anything to stop it.

Alya, on the other hand, retaliated by asserting that she and Zeedan share equal responsibility for Hashim’s passing.

In Coronation Street from 2014 and 2018, Zeedan made his debut. Later that year, Qasim departed the program before making a comeback in 2021.

Meanwhile, Qasim recently talked openly about converting to his Faith.

He said earlier this year on Instagram, “I’ve spent the last two years feeding my spirit and starving my cravings, and in October I flew to a place that formerly never appealed to me.”
