Coronation Street’s Kelly Neelan could stick around for a while because Billy Mayhew takes pity on her next week. Kelly (Millie Gibson) is the troublesome daughter of the loan shark Rick Neelan. She has already proven to be a destructive force on the cobbles, a vengeful posting of Asha Alahan’s private video last week.
The next episodes give Kelly a lighter side as she confides in her new friend Summer. Spellman (Matilda Freeman) about her family troubles. Kelly discovers that Claire’s mother has abandoned her, leaving her nowhere to turn.
Summer shares this troubling news with Billy (Daniel Brocklebank), who can come up with a way to help Kelly. Billy hopes Kelly will be capable of moving into their apartment, giving her a place to stay. But even after what she did to Asha, did Kelly change her ways?
And, how does Gary feel as he realizes that Kelly is going to be so close to home? Last year, Gary killed Rick in self-defense, covering up the incident by burying his body. Until then, Gary has lived in fear of his secrets being revealed – so it’s fair to say that being this close to Kelly is the last thing he needs.
