Aaron suggests that the group of flatmates go out to the Bistro for cocktail night in order to celebrate being promoted to mechanic at the garage.

Amy and Aaron are clearly a good match as they get ready. Tensions are high after a previous argument with Summer (Harriet Bibby), and the two end up kissing.

Amy eventually backs off, feeling awful for going against Summer’s wishes.

Amy finds it difficult to see Summer and Aaron together at the Bistro. She decides that the shame she feels about their earlier kiss and the anguish she feels at parting ways with Jacob are too much and goes home.

After a disagreement with Summer, Aaron also makes the decision to return to the apartment.

Aaron and Amy continue to play drinking games throughout the night, finishing every last drop of alcohol in the apartment, and they end up kissing once again.

Amy stumbles into her bedroom looking for more alcohol.

She suddenly realizes that she isn’t feeling well and that she is too inebriated to go on. Aaron joins her on the bed, but she turns away and falls asleep.

Actor James Craven claims that when Aaron keeps kissing Amy, he “fails to read the signs” she is sending.

I should point out that the biggest error he makes at this point is assuming she is okay to go on since, in his eyes, everything up to this point has been fine and she has been okay with everything. He clarified.

The phrase “assumes” is particularly essential because it is his major error; he neglects to ask himself and, more importantly, Amy if she is alright with everything. It’s a lack of consideration that results in a lack of concern.

Then, while she is fully unaware, he moves things along.

After this terrifying incident, Amy will slowly regain consciousness, piece together what happened, and realize that she has been raped.

Viewers will observe how she deals with her emotions in the wake of this incident and works to restore her life in the future.

For this plot, Coronation Street collaborated with the Schools Consent Project in order to convey it truthfully and delicately.
