Dancing on Ice contestant Libby Clegg opened up about the hardships she and her family endured during her time on the series, due to negative comments posted online.
This weekend the Olympic athlete will participate alongside Multicultural actress Perri Kiely and EastEnders actor Joe Swash in the grand finale of the reality show.
Bur referring to online trolling during her skate-off against magician Ben Hanlin, Libby admitted that after the uproar, she decided not to look at social networking after it hadn't to know my honest opinion?
I'm content in myself, but my family has had a hard time, and my other half is more worried [ about the comments ]. '
Libby continued:' I hope my family has seen how much I've struggled over the year, and how much we have been difficult. So when people say horrible things, it really upsets them, and they know it's not true, and then they want to protect me, but then they don't want to get embroiled in a social media fight.' The 29-year-old also reported that:' We realized before the semi-final that we'd be in the bottom two because we knew it'd be against Ben.'
Nonetheless, it seems like Libby will have her work cut out for her if she wants to live this weekend's cup. Firm favorite Peri has already made waves after rumors that in a show-stopping routine, he will try a' really risky' trick. So please spare a thought for poor Joe Swash, who arrived home with a bandaged head mere days before his last skate after a particularly brutal practice.
