Fans of EastEnders obviously won’t see Sharon Watts back at the Queen Vic bar. After Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) agreed to sell their pub last month, fans have backed Sharon (Letitia Dean) to get her groove back by taking over Vic.

Her ex-husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), also observed that the key to mending a couple’s broken marriage could be to rekindle their past by getting their hands on the pub.
However, Phil figures out in the episode on Tuesday (April 21) that he was wrong.

When Phil went to Sharon to come into the Vic with his pitch for them to run it together as in the old days, he was stunned when she rejected. Instead, Sharon announced she would leave the Square for a while to live with Michelle Fowler abroad so she could have some time to grieve Dennis.

Viewers last saw Michelle fleeing the Square back in 2018 when Sharon supported her decision to leave Walford after being framed to pass Hunter Owen, a troubled student. Of course, Sharon is going to have her dangerous feud with Hunter’s mother, Mel.

In the episode of Tuesday, Phil showed some rare maturity when he knew that it was better for him to let Sharon go once and for all. But if Phil and Sharon are not going to buy the Vic together, that leaves one big question: who’s going to be the next owner of the pub? Recently, we listed our picks as the most likely contenders to purchase Walford’s most beloved landmark.

EastEnders will follow this cliffhanger next Monday (April 27) at 8 p.m. on BBC One, with the soap continuing next Tuesday (April 28) at 8.30 p.m.
