The EastEnders crew is planning to mark the 35th season of the soaps, but it's hit a bit of a hitch.
The actual anniversary date is February 19th, which falls on a Wednesday, a day that Eastenders does not air.
Four unique episodes are airborne that week, typically on scheduled days, but one episode is getting a new date.
For the week that's in it, the executives wanted to make sure that the episode aired on Friday, February 21st wasn't going to interfere with Coronation Street, so instead of the normal 7.30pm time, the end of the special screened at 8.30pm.
Mike and Linda are struggling to save their marriage, and in an attempt to rekindle their romance, they decide to organize a boat party.
As is always the case in soapland, the events will not go according to schedule and threaten the lives of everyone on board.
Linda had been struggling with alcoholism that even put little Ollie in danger, and Mick wasn't really in the mood to celebrate. The specials will also see the return of Peter Beale (with a new look / actor) and Keanu Taylor, who will try to settle his rivalry with the Mitchells one way or the other. The specials will jump between the drama unfolding on the boat and all the events taking place in the square, which will also include a massive showdown.Tension was being built between Ben and his dad, Phil and the young man is at a break point. The acts of father and son are likely to have disastrous consequences, but are they going to be for one of them or someone else? They will note that death is expected to be a major character, and there is plenty of debate as to who it might be.Some people think it's Leo King who's been tormenting poor Whitney to the point that viewers were on the verge of nightmares. When Whitney goes to bed, believing she's far from Leo's torture, the camera showed Leo sitting on the dirty floor of Queen Vic's attic peering through a window.Other suspected characters that will make their last appearance are Linda Carter, Tina Carter, Gray Atkins, Denise Fox, Max Branning and Keanu Taylor.
