After Billy (Perry Fenwick) confessed his love for her, Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) was left in doubt about her feelings for him in EastEnders because she realized that she was still holding a candle for him.
As viewers are aware, DCI Keeble (Alison Newman) is determined to link Billy to her father’s murder and has threatened to sentence him to life in prison for a crime he did not commit.
Eric Mitchell, Phil’s father, was responsible for the murder, but now that he has passed away, Keeble is focusing her attention on Billy because he was the one who got the gun.
Billy expressed his love for Honey in heartfelt scenes as he realized that he was running out of time before making an attempt to escape Walford. Keeble, on the other hand, was one step ahead and publicly detained him in the Queen Vic.
The BBC One soap opera’s episode from last Friday, September 8, dealt with the fallout from the arrest as Honey rushed to Phil’s (Steve McFadden) side and demanded that he assist Billy in his hour of need.
Richie Scott was brought on to the case after Phil did exactly that, and she was successful in getting Billy released, probably pending additional investigation.
Billy went back to his house, certain that Honey would throw him out on the street, but she revealed that she, too, had feelings for him.
She also said she believed him when he insisted he was innocent and vowed to support him no matter what.
Billy, overcome with emotion, took her hand and the two ex-lovers kissed passionately.
Fans of the show, many of whom were less than pleased with Honey’s bizarre relationship with Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick), which ended this year, will undoubtedly be pleased to hear of their reunion.
