EASTENDERS ‘ Kat Slater became angry when, in recent episodes, Gray Atkins proposed Kush Kazemi pled guilty to his attack case to support Whitney Dean.

However, the Slater stalwart may be pushed to desperate action when she learns the lawyer was incorrect to offer this advice.

Kush Kazemi (played by Davood Ghadami) resident of EastEnders raced to the rescue of Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) a few months back when she became engaged in an argument with Leo King (Tom Wells). After harassing Whitney for months, the professional manipulator portrayed himself as the villain and Kush found himself confronting the prospect of a lengthy jail term.

Whitney blamed herself after Kush’s detention, and urgently tried to help clear the name of her father.

Leo, though, ramped up his torture scheme and pressured her to apologise to the gravestone of Tony King (Chris Coghill).

He pressured her to say that she had lied in front of the Queen Vic customers about the violence she had endured, but they all took Whitney’s side.

The evil trainee prosecutor then concealed in Whitney’s attic before they tricked her with a knife and threatened to kill her.

Whitney struck off and Leo collapsed on the weapon, cutting himself badly but the police suspected she was probably a killer and the notorious stockbroker is now in custody pending trial.

As Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) was training for the Kush case, in the same week he also had to assist Whitney in her bail hearing. Until Kush’s prosecution, he was advised by Gray’s friend to convince the stock operator to amend his plea to guilty.

As her boyfriend told him Gray’s advice, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) became angry and lost little time in questioning the prosecutor.

Still, as Gray clarified Kush’s guilty conviction could eventually ensure the liberation of Whitney, the pair was lost for words. Kush was divided between embracing or challenging a prison penalty and potentially being granted years behind bars.

Finally, the next day, he decided to plead guilty and return home to his daughters, but how would Kat react if she considered Gray’s advice to be wrong?

Express.co.uk told Andrew Gilmore, Grosvenor Law Head of Criminal Justice, whether Whitney’s prosecution may have been influenced by Kush’s decision.

He revealed: “This will have a marginally obvious impact on Whitney’s case because the details of the attack in the murder trial became evidentially significant.’

the evidence of the incident could be used against Whitney to show that Leo had been assaulted by Whitney and her friends in the past.’ However, the Head of Criminal

Law explained that Kush’s guilty conviction had been handed down.
