EASTENDERS audiences saw Nancy Carter agree to leave Walford with boyfriend Tamwar Masood back in 2016 to embark on their dream backpack adventure. Now some fans for the famous character expect a return to the Square-this is why.
The Carters are one of the most well-known families in EastEnders that joined the BBC soap when they became the latest tenants in Princess Vic in late 2013. Mick (played by Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) initially came in tow with their three grown-up children who have all left since. However, does one of them try to come back with a new twist?
Once the Carter clan arrived in Walford, they quickly became popular with those who were seeing the new family warming up at home early. Mick and Linda and their children Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard), Nancy (Maddy Hill), and Johnny (Ted Reilly) moved into the bar. It didn’t take the trio long to create their own drama and Nancy was first seen on-screen about to marry Wayne Ludlow (Malachi Kirby). Her father found out where the wedding was going to take place and refused to allow Wayne to marry his daughter.
Nancy soon settled in Walford and became a friend of Tamwar Masood (Himesh Patel) and a strong bond was formed by the pair. Their relationship gradually developed into romance, and the couple was on / off for a while before leaving for traveling the globe together in 2016, and has since engaged off-screen. Maddy has since been a strong favourite on another BBC drama, Casualty, starring as Ruby Spark paramedic following her departure. She’ll be bowing out of the series this weekend, though, and now EastEnders viewers think it would be the ideal time for Nancy to return to Albert Square.
