The famous Queen Vic of EASTENDERS is once again on sale-but were the new buyers already exposed as the BBC soap drops a big hint?

After the current landlords, Mick and Linda Carter (played by Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright) set their sights on new horizons for her to rebound from her alcoholism, EastEnders’ famous Queen Vic pub is up or sold. Fans may already know Linda’s living above the pub has been too much and the daily pressure has not been good for her recovery.

After reappearing at the funeral wake of Dennis Rickman Jr (Bleu Landau) following a battle with best friend Sharon Mitchell (Leticia Dean), she sneaked a drink of vodka from mum-in-law Shirley (Linda Henry), only to be rumbled and forced to come clean.

Mick made the decision to sever ties with the location they call home to help his wife get better and in coming episodes the family and son Ollie will make a break from the bar.

Yet first they have to find a buyer before they can run every after to their happiness.

A distraught Sharon tried to control her emotions during Denny’s wake and all hell broke loose when Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) passed through the door.

The hard man of Walford had vanished after the boat accident that resulted in the death of 13-year-old Denny and he blamed himself after arguing with Sharon’s lover Keanu Taylor (Danny Wallace) caused the boat to veer off and crash in a different direction.

Sharon and Phil ended up having a big heart-to-heart, and after he turned himself into police, she rescued him from jail. The two ended up kissing passionately-but does this mean a new beginning for the unhappily married couple?

Shirley paid Phil a visit in recent episodes and fed him with some info he was very keen to hear. The pub’s former landlord was fascinated after he revealed how he hoped to win back Sharon.

Phil said to Shirley: “I hope to get back with Sharon if I can put the past behind us. That’s what I want, what I really need. That, and working out Ben. I need to get my family together again.

Shirley answered: “Well, if Sharon’s what you’re after then I’ve got it on really good authority that the Vic’s going to be up for sale. And Sharon, well, she loves that house.” Does the BBC soap imply that the Mitchell clan’s going to rule over the roost again?

Viewers will remember that for many years the Queen Vic has been the stomping ground of the boys, with Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) at the helm as the famous landlady who yelled “Get out of my pub!” every chance she got.

And with Phil’s sights fixed on buying it back, after all the heartbreak, abuse and deceit, will there be a future for him and Sharon?
