Former sweethearts of Eastenders Janine Butcher used Mick and Linda Carter as bargaining chips for months, but according to a notion published by Express.co.uk, they may now be catching on to her cunning ways.

Janine Butcher, portrayed by Charlie Brooks, has been driving a huge gulf between Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter for more than a year (Kellie Bright). The evil Janine has done everything in her power to keep Linda out of the picture ever since their chance encounter at a bar, but she finally looks like she could be getting what’s coming to her. In light of the fact that Mick and Linda will become closer before Janine’s trial, will her latest nefarious scheme ultimately come to light?

A devoted Mick spends more time with Linda ahead of her imminent trial in an upcoming EastEnders episode.

An emotional Linda cannot help but worry the possibility of spending more time away from her infant daughter now that Annie is learning to walk for the first time.

As usual, tensions are high at the Queen Vic, and Linda’s tense attitude is heightened by a dispute with Stuart Highway (played by Rickie Champ).

The Carter’s friendship is clearly getting stronger as Mick consoles Linda after the argument, much to Janine’s displeasure, but they have been in this situation before.

Janine does not give in lightly when trying to wrestle Mick away, as is customary for her.

She makes an effort to tease Mick and keep their romance alive, but he is obviously preoccupied with the idea of the mother of his children going to prison.

Will he ever realize that Janine set up this case and left his ex-wife hanging out to dry?

As Mick keeps up his investigator persona by learning additional information regarding the accident’s night of occurrence, Janine’s uneasiness grows.

He insists Linda discuss her account of what happened the night of the crash as part of the investigation.

Some progress seems to have been made when he asks Linda to check her phone history online, and Janine seems to be worried that her awful ruse is coming to light.

Is Mick beginning to see her dishonest tactics?

Will he eventually learn the truth about Janine putting Linda’s inebriated, unconscious body in the driver’s seat the night of the collision?

There is suddenly optimism for Linda’s future as she composes birthday cards for her kids despite her distress and impending jail time.

The biggest drama in Albert Square is never far from Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who plays a crucial role in assisting her buddy.

When she joins the investigation, she reveals that she was employed at the Queen Vic on the day of the collision and that she is aware of the person who responded to Linda’s call that fateful evening.

As Janine’s hand starts to collapse, Linda confronts her about the call in front of an irate Mick.

As the trial approaches, the Queen Vic will later honor Notting Hill Carnival.

Mick finds this to be wonderful and is touched by Linda’s suggestion of a party and her upbeat attitude.

When Mick offers the charming idea that their son Ollie stay over at Linda’s, the longing looks between the two only get more intense.

Will the Carters be able to defeat Janine Butcher, their biggest-ever obstacle, now that they are coming together once more?
