As Bernice Blackstock and Tony Audenshaw’s characters Bob Hope take over the neighborhood B&B, additional information about the ensuing pandemonium has been revealed by the Emmerdale actor.

On Wednesday’s episode, Bob and Bernice hold their grand re-opening event after working together to rebuild the company (February 22).

The two are committed to the success of their new business. Unfortunately, there will be trouble because Bernice spent the night with Tim, a newbie who was hired to play the harp at the launch.

Tim disappears while he’s supposed to dazzle the guests. Bob tells Bernice that he discovered Tim dead in the bed that they had shared the previous night after going upstairs to look into it. Tony explained the issues that lie ahead: “There are numerous tasks for Bob and Bernice to complete. With this significant launch, they are launching their new company, and Bob is only partially pleased with their plans.

Bob is unable to locate Bernice the morning before the launch. Bob is working on both his and Bernice’s projects at the same time. Before the visitors arrive, the clock is running.

“When Bernice does show up, she makes up the story that she went for a run. Bob doesn’t understand it, but he is forced to accept it once she puts him in his place.

“We learn later that Bernice has been having the time of her life with the pretty attractive harpist and has been sleeping with him!”

Bob and Bernice are faced with the challenging task of trying to address the matter without causing negative feedback and exposure when Tim’s destiny threatens to ruin the launch event.

“When the guests arrive, Bob goes to find the harpist to find out where he is,” Tony continued. Tim ought to be in front of the harp since they spent a ton of money on it!

“Tim is found dead in the room when Bob goes upstairs to check on him, and everyone else is downstairs. He goes to grab Bernice and tells her what is happening.

What do they do when they have a dead harpist on their hands? Do they make a police call? The body is it moved? For the most part, they are unsure about what to do. Bob is totally baffled by it.

“Bob sends Bernice below to remove the visitors so they may call for assistance, but he has to wait for a very long time. It comes out that Bernice hasn’t taken any action to make things better.

“As Bob descends again, a local newspaper journalist is waiting for him. Folks are having a wonderful time, drinking, and enjoying themselves. Bernice has simply become overexcited by the moment.

On whether Bob and Bernice will be able to overcome the challenges and make a success of their event in the ridiculous scenario, the show is remaining mum.

When asked about his new on-screen partnership with Bernice’s Samantha Giles, Tony replied, “I’m really loving it. Although Sam and I have obviously known one other for a very long time and have shared a few odd moments together, working as a duo has been wonderful.

“It began with the hurricane scenario from the previous year, when we worked together to clean up the village. The relationship was a little comedic at the time, and Sam is a pleasure to work with.
