Lucas Taylor and Clemmie Reed’s full custody was finally granted to Billy Fletcher and Dawn Taylor of Emmerdale. Their joy, though, was short-lived when Billy ran down Alex Moore and, in a panic, left him for dead.
As Alex Moore (Liam Boyle) reappeared in their lives, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) battled for custody of Lucas Taylor (Noah Ryan Aspinall) and Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison). The couple was finally able to sign the legal document stating that the two children were in their custody on Thursday night because Alex did not appear with them at their hearing. However, the Emmerdale couple’s life isn’t always easy sailing as Billy ran down Alex, He went back to Home Farm, leaving him in the middle of the road.

Viewers of Emmerdale have now asserted that they have predicted the family’s future, and the news is not good.

In a flashforward scene at the start of Thursday’s episode, Alex was seen lying in the middle of the road after being struck by an unknown vehicle.

Meanwhile, Dawn and Billy were apprehensive about their court appearance and worried that Alex would show up and revoke their custody rights.

Alex was stealing drugs from the back of Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) delivery van for Abbott Lane Surgery, but he was distracted.

The stress and anxiety were put to rest when Dawn and Billy completed the court proceeding and were given custody of Lucas and Clemmie.

The judge instructed them: “These documents and the information provided by social services seem to demonstrate that Lucas and Clemmie are loved and well-cared for in their current home.

“Mr. Moore has consented to give up parental authority, and his absence today demonstrated that he has no plans to change his mind.

“So, I’m happy to approve Billy Taylor’s adoption of Lucas Taylor as a stepparent. Dawn and Billy, please accept our special guardianship order for Clemmie Reed.

Billy and Dawn were rejoicing over the good news while Alex was fleeing the village with his bag of drugs after Charles Anderson caught him (Kevin Mathurin).

With the court case outcome in hand, Billy and Dawn called for champagne and fish and chips at Home Farm, and Billy offered to go and get them.

However, Alex stepped out into the road while reading messages on his phone just before Billy struck him, turning his otherwise innocent drive into a nightmare.

Billy drove back to Home Farm and told Dawn what had happened rather than calling an ambulance and staying with Alex to make sure he was okay.

Before they left in her car to see if Alex was still there, dead or alive, she advised him to leave the car in the garage.

Billy’s anxiety increased as more police and an ambulance arrived at the scene as they arrived.

When Dawn asked the policeman if the person involved was okay, he replied: “Billy! Keep your cool; did he see you?”

Dawn continued after Billy said he didn’t know, “If he did, we have a problem… if he’s alive.”

As the ITV soap opera’s episode came to a close, viewers theorized that Alex would get over the incident but would then use blackmail to force Billy to work for him in exchange for his silence.

According to @Dbella91, the plot of #Emmerdale is “blackmailing Billy to return the drugs so that Alex will make a full recovery.”

Donna Tella Space left a comment: “If Alex survives that hit, he will start counting the notes of blackmail. #Emmerdale “

said @natashate1983: “If Billy wasn’t going to call an ambulance, he shouldn’t have got out of the car because he will now claim it wasn’t an accident unless you give him money. #Emmerdale “

“Betcha Alex will say it was Charles or will blackmail Billy & Dawn again,” predicted Leah Allen.

Sam Sunner wrote, ” “Billy is not going to give up easily on this one. Alex will either out him or exploit him for personal gain.”

Dawn and Billy deserve so much happiness because of everything they’ve been through in #Emmerdale, Ryan Glendenning wrote in an Instagram post. (sic)
