This week, after dropping a massive hint she might be returning to the popular soap, actress Pia Miller whipped Home and Away fans into a frenzy.

n Wednesday, the 36-year-old posted a picture of a beach landscape to her Instagram account, which she significantly geotagged as being taken at Sydney’s Palm Beach, where the show is filmed.
“Hi again,” she captioned the photo cheekily.

As she posted a behind-the-scenes shot of herself reporting from the sand, a second image further sparked speculation of her return.

“Back on set for the first time in months today,” wrote the mum-of-two.

If Pia’s character, Kat Chapman, were to return to Summer Bay, it would be dramatic, no doubt, because she was killed.
The Chilean-born model played the fictional cop from 2015 until 2017 when newcomer Jasmine (Sam Frost) killed the character and her unborn child in a car crash.

Pia told that she enjoyed her role as Kat prior to her final scenes airing in 2017.

“It was awesome. It’s a perfect place to stretch my performing muscles and learn a lot about myself,” Pia told

“I don’t have my Hollywood eyes set on me, which is always advertised. It’s not the case.”

Meanwhile, Pia was recently reunited with her US-based partner, Patrick Whitesell, 55, in her personal life after being forced to spend months apart because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Patrick, who operates the film and media agency Endeavor, has lived in Los Angeles since the pandemic struck, while Pia continued to live in Sydney. February this year was the last time they were pictured on Instagram together.

Pia and Patrick have been dating since last year, after the actress’ engagement to Tyson Mullane fell apart.

Stepping out at a Halloween party in Los Angeles in November 2019, Pia essentially confirmed she had moved on with the Hollywood agent and millionaire.
