Craig McLachlan, the former star of Neighbours, has been accused of sexual harassment by past co-stars from a variety of projects, including one who co-starred with him on the Australian serial over three decades ago.

The actor is suing ABC and Nine, as well as his co-star, Christie Whelan Browne, from the 2014 film The Rocky Horror Show, for exposing himself, bullying, and harassment.

According to The Western Australian, he is suing for defamation in the New South Wales Supreme Court, a legal case he started in 2018 but placed on hold when he was accused of violence and indecent assault against four women during the Rocky Horror performance. He pled not guilty and was acquitted of the charges last year, and his defamation case has now been reopened.

His anonymous Neighbours co-star is testifying for the defense, alleging that McLachlan sexually assaulted her, including grabbing her breasts, in court on Friday (October 22).

The matter will be considered by a jury before being sent to Justice John Sackar for a four-week trial in May of next year.

McLachlan has maintained his denial of all charges leveled against him, saying in a previous statement: “To be honest, they appear to be simple fiction, possibly created for financial benefit or to acquire recognition. In any case, they are completely and completely incorrect, to the best of my knowledge.”

McLachlan has also been in Home and Away and Neighbours.
