The actress has been candid about her wish to have a child and her experience giving birth to her son after years of trying to conceive with IVF.

Emily Symons is most recognized for her success in Australian and British soap operas.

In 1989, she began as Marilyn Chambers in Home and Away before moving on to Emmerdale to play Louise Appleton.

Before giving birth to her son, the actress was quite vocal about her wish to have a child, and she underwent many rounds of IVF with both her ex-husband and her previous lover.

How old is Emily and where is she from?

Emily is 52 years old, having been born on August 10, 1969. She was born and reared in the Australian city of Sydney.

When she was four years old, her mother remarried, and she did not see her father, who was from England, for ten years.

Emily works in several shops while attempting to break into the acting industry before landing a role in a post office instructional film.

Is Emily married?

Emily is not married right now, although she has been married twice before.

Nick Lipscombe, a musician whom she met in London, was her first husband. Emily returned to reprise her part on Home and Away in 1995, and the pair divorced in 1995.

She married a second time to Lorenzo Smith, a descendant of English stationery billionaire W.H. Smith and a son of Viscount Hambleden.

Before splitting in 2005, the pair had been together for two years. As they attempted for children, Emily revealed that going through two cycles of IVF had an influence on her and her husband’s marriage.

She also dated her Emmerdale co-star Matt Healy, who played Matthew King and was engaged to footballer Matt Le Tissier.

She later dated radio executive Paul Jackson for four years before splitting up with him in 2016.

Does Emily have any children?

Emily does have a son, Henry, who was born on August 3, 2015. He is shared by her and her ex-boyfriend Paul.

She was 45 years old when her son was born, so she didn’t think she’d be a mother, but after undergoing IVF, she gave birth to him at 38 weeks.

She claims it took her years to have a child and that she didn’t mind if he was born by cesarean section because he was healthy.
