Harry and Meghan 'Sussex Royal' review

The use of the label "Sussex Royal" through Prince Harry and wife Meghan is being reviewed after they have stepped down from official duties.

Talks involving the Queen and senior officials begin on the use of the brand by a pair as they prepare to begin their new life outside royal duties, the Daily Mail has reported.

The popular Instagram account used among Harry and Meghan uses the name Sussex Royal, as does a site created by the couple after they decided to give up the royal family for personal freedom.

A royal source said Harry and Meghan's future use of the term "needed to be reviewed" and there were ongoing discussions.

As Sussex's Duke and Duchess step back as senior members of the royal family and work for financial independence, it was necessary to examine the use of the word' royal' in this context the source said: "As part of the process of transitioning Sussex's Duke and Duchess into their new chapter, planning was well underway around the founding of a non-profit organization."

Buckingham Palace said they will start their new life in the Northern Spring, away from royal duties.

Harry and Meghan first used the Royal name when they created their own buildings in Sussex
