The faithful fans of Home and Away were hit hard on Monday's episode with the death of the beloved fan character Sergeant Ryan' Robbo' Shaw.
But now, it has emerged a strange rumor that Robbo may not be dead.
Several fans reported by Now To Love have suggested that the character, played by actor Jake Ryan, winked at a nurse during his dramatic scene of death.
' Robbo gestured to the nurse, implying that he then ate something that would allow him to fake his death, ' theorized one fan.
The theory suggests that Robbo was then put under the protection of witnesses.
Robbo first appeared on the show in 2017 as a mysterious amnesia-stricken police officer.
It was later revealed that he had been sent to Summer Bay to defend Kat Champman, who was played by actress Pia Miller.
After the intense scenes on Monday night, several fans took to Twitter to make a similar statement for his death.
My gut tells me that Robbo isn't dead in reality,' one fan wrote.
Another one added:' I don't believe that Robbo is dead and that he's just protecting a witness.' Another one wrote: 'I don't know who's in more denial of Robbo's death last night at Home and Away, Jasmine or me.'
Despite his theories, Jake Ryan admitted to the TV Week magazine on Wednesday that he believed his character had been exhausted by the writers. We had such a great storyline with Robbo, and there wasn't much else to do with him,' Jake said, referring to his character. You want to go to the top while you can,' he added. It's sad to leave, but my period was over there.'
