Satisfied that Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) is in charge of all the preparations, Tane (Ethan Brown) and Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) are savoring the final moments of their engagement.
Nikau’s intentions, however, are thwarted when Lyrik abruptly cancels her performance due to an emergency. He has a short window of time to locate a DJ or live performer. Will he be able to succeed?
Felicity starts to experience cold feet the evening before the nuptials. She enters Cash’s (Nicholas Cartwright) chamber covertly in search of consolation. Felicity is thankfully cool enough and Cash is the voice of reason. Tane is waiting for her as she enters the corridor again. Is this not unlucky? After a brief kiss, they resolve to spend the night apart rather than tempt fate.
The major day has been anticipated and planned for for weeks. Beginning with a special wedding breakfast served to the bride and groom by Mackenzie (Emily Weir), due to Salt’s catering staff. Then, as Cash explains what he’s been up to, Felicity receives her next surprise: a restored version of their father’s ute that will take her to the wedding. Felicity feels moved.
The couple’s bridal cake has been finished by Leah (Ada Nicodemou), and it is a masterpiece. But when Marilyn (Emily Symons) phones Leah from the diner, disaster ensues.
Just as she opened the refrigerator, food spilled from the shelf above, staining the cake crimson.
In an effort to clean up the mess before the bride appears, Leah departs the location.
Felicity, however, is in a frenzy at home. She resists Cash and Gary’s (Peter Phelps) encouragement, despite their best efforts.
Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) finally instructs them to proceed to the event; she will take care of Felicity and get her there. Is Tane about to be abandoned at the ceremony as Felicity locks herself in her room and refuses to leave?
