On Home and Away, Ziggy Astoni (played by Sophie Dillman) is doing her best to assist her boyfriend Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) while he recovers from a life-threatening car accident (1:15 pm – see our TV Guide for listings).
Dean’s surfboard business is being operated by Nikau Parata (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) while he is away.
Ziggy, on the other hand, decides to step in and assist Nikau in running Dean’s surf club lessons on the beach.
John Palmer (Shane Withington), the owner of the Surf Club, is concerned about Ziggy’s lack of teaching expertise.
But Ziggy, the garage mechanic, thinks she’s got the matter under control.
However, things go from bad to worse when a female customer is smacked by a board while surfing in the ocean!
Ziggy downplays the incident and advises Nikau not to tell Dean about the mishap.
But how long will it be before Dean discovers the truth when the victim tweets about the surf class accident on social media?
Meanwhile, Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller) is beginning to feel nervous around Nikau, her boyfriend.
When two giddy girls sign up for Nikau’s surfing session, Bella feels pushed out of the picture.
It rapidly becomes clear that the girls are solely in the class to shoot photos and flirt with Nikau, a former model!
Will Bella keep a lid on her feelings?
Or is her mistrust of the situation going to lead to more trouble for the couple?
John reels from the news about his ex-wife, Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons).
Marilyn has slipped into a coma after her sudden collapse.
Doctor Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner), who believes Marilyn had a delayed reaction after being exposed during the chemical attack at restaurant Salt, seeks answers from John.
John is sick to his stomach at the prospect of Marilyn’s condition worsening…
Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) and his daughter, Roo, had better news elsewhere (Georgie Parker).
Martha (Belinda Giblin), Alf’s wife, is recovering from the chemical attack.
Her kidneys, however, are still failing, and she will require dialysis in a city-based renal center.
Alf can’t bear the thought of being parted from his wife.
Will Alf pack his bags and move down to the city to be with Martha?
