Home and Away Spoilers – Tex and Cash’s final showdown begins

This week on Home and Away in Australia, the bikies are back with a vengeance as Tex escapes from prison with only one man on his mind. Will Cash survive the week

Following his murder of bikie gang boss Marty back in August, Summer Bay copper Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) has been living with a bounty on his head for a number of months. The severing of the brake lines on Cash’s father’s old ute made it clear that the bikies still mean business, even though things had quieted down for a while as the police taskforce continued to monitor known gang members.

Unfortunately for them, Cash did not drive the ute as originally intended to Tane’s (Ethan Browne) and Felicity’s (Jacqui Purvis) wedding. As a result, an accident occurred, leaving Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) fighting for her life and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) needing surgery after being impaled by a fencepost.

When the accident victims were brought into Northern Districts Hospital, Lloyd (Oliver Ackland) was there and was compelled to inform the bikies that Cash didn’t have any scrapes on him, necessitating the use of Plan B.

When Cash and his foster father Gary (Peter Phelps) realized the crash was not an accident, they quickly searched the house and found some hidden bugs that provided the solution to how the gang knew Cash was supposed to be operating the ute.

Although Cash told Rose what he had discovered, he wanted to keep it a secret from the taskforce until he had concrete evidence. Cash discovered this evidence by paying gang member Tex (Lucas Linehan) a visit in prison.

Even though he denied any guilt, Cash only needed to hear Tex repeat something Irene (Lynne McGranger), who had been at the house the night before, had stated. They discovered Lloyd’s identity and broke it after comparing certain phone numbers with Tex’s prison visitors.

Cash agreed to let Rose update the taskforce on all recent events, but after a few hours of waiting, he made the decision to handle things on his own (which always works out well for Summer Bay cops). Cash told the gang that all they had to do was name the time and place, and they could finish this by speaking directly into the listening device.

“When Cash says ‘any time, anywhere’, he means it,” Nicholas Cartwright told TV Week. “He’s willing to play dirty to stop them and will get as violent as he needs to be to make them back off.”

The bikies finally send Cash a text message this week with a meeting time and location and a warning that they don’t want any police present.

Cash is aware of what he might be about to step into as he gets ready for the meeting. He is confident that the bikies won’t agree to settle their differences over a beer if they’re going to demand $10,000 for his life.

After spending a lot of time by Eden’s bedside when she was unconscious after the accident, Cash now believes that he owes her what might be a final farewell after realizing the extent of his affections for her.

“Just in case it doesn’t go my way, I wanted to tell you how much you mean to me.”

But Cash’s plan is thwarted by the arrival of Rose, who explains that the taskforce have been monitoring his phone and know of the planned meeting.

Rose warns him that he needs to keep out of things, as he’s then placed under guard so that he can’t leave the hospital!

Rose and her team successfully arrest Lloyd and several other gang members during their raid on the address that Cash had been provided. When Rose tells Cash it’s all over and he can leave the hospital at last, Cash is relieved.

They are unaware that Tex has managed to break out of jail, though.

Tex is relieved to learn that Cash has dropped his guard following the raid from one of his friends, telling them to “now go get him.”

When Cash calls at Salt, he’s approached by an armed man who quietly ushers him outside, where a van is waiting for him.

Cash is able to communicate to a nearby Tane to let him know that something is wrong before being forced inside. Tane waits until help arrives before following the van while maintaining his distance.

When Cash arrives at the gang’s safehouse, Tex confronts him and tells him that he was the one who intended to put an end to everything.

Subjecting Cash to a brutal beating, Tex then draws his gun.

Take a good look round,” Tex tells him. “It’ll be the last thing you ever see.

Hiding nearby, Tane realises he cannot wait any longer, and storms in to try and help, but the two are soon overpowered by the gang.

Ending up staring down the barrel of the gun, Cash prepares for the inevitable…

Is there any way out now for Cash and Tane?
