The police officer was shot during a fight with the leader of a biker gang, Marty, and his life is now in danger.
As Cash bleeds out on the ground, his police partner Rose Delaney (Kirsty Marillier) worries the worst.
Fortunately, Xander (Luke Van Os), Rose’s brother and a paramedic, shows quite quickly.
Cash is carried in an ambulance to Northern District Hospital.
But as they travel, Cash’s heart stops beating, and things go horribly wrong!
Xander furiously starts CPR because he won’t let Cash die on his watch.
Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) and his nephew Nikau are currently at the Yabbie Creek Police Station after being “arrested” (Kawakawa Fox-Reo).
When Tane pulls a secret wire, Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) is surprised to learn that his uncle has been secretly collaborating with the police to bust the biker gang.
WHY remained silent, Tane?
Together, they could have tackled the threat.
Rose encounters extra difficulties when she is required to speak with Tex Wheeler (Lucas Linehan), a member of a biker gang with whom she had a relationship before learning of his ulterior motives.
Tex doesn’t seem as eager in saying anything that would further expose him as he is in playing mind tricks with Rose.
When boastful Tex tells the policewoman it will be her fault if Cash dies following the shooting, Rose is taken speechless.
At the hospital, Cash’s sister, Felicity (Jacqui Purvis), is frantically waiting for news from Bree Cameron (Juliet Godwin), the new doctor in town who has replaced the late Logan Bennett.
However, things are not looking well as Cash is hurried off for EMERGENCY surgery.
