On UK screens next week, Ari Parata of Home and Away will face a tough struggle as Mia Anderson questions their relationship’s future.
Following the terrible death of their unborn child, Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) suffers as Mia pushes him away.
Mia (Anna Samson) will have a miscarriage in upcoming episodes on Channel 5, following her involvement in a vehicle accident with Nikau and Dean.
Mia is released from the hospital in the upcoming episodes, and she accepts help from Chloe (Sam Barrett) and Tane (Ethan Browne) as she returns to the Parata mansion.
Mia has a totally different attitude toward Ari, as she is obviously chilly to him and avoids any opportunity for them to be alone together.
When Mia finds that her sonogram photo has vanished from the fridge, everything comes to a head.
Mia accuses Ari passionately of wanting to forget about their child. When Ari shows her that he has placed the photo in their existing memory box for their infant boy Kauri, who died shortly after his birth, she realizes she was mistaken.
Mia prepares to return to work for the first time since the crash later in the week.
Ari fears that it’s too soon and offers to accompany her, but Mia expresses her displeasure with him once more.
Soon after, Ari receives some counsel from Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), who advises him to keep persistent with Mia in order to guarantee that he is there when she is ready to open up again.
Ari takes this advise and goes to the gym, insisting on staying for a long exercise so he can keep an eye on Mia.
After all of the heartache they’ve had over the years, Mia eventually breaks down and tells Ari that she can’t stand to try for another kid with him.
Mia adds that if Ari finds this to be a deal-breaker, they may have to part ways.
Ari is taken aback when he realises this is what has been upsetting Mia, and he vows that he just wants her, baby or no baby. Can this pledge help them mend their relationship?
