This week, Hendrix (Benny Turland) and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) are having the most difficult time of all the Neighbours, as Hendrix faces catastrophic tragedy and Terese bids her sobriety farewell.

Terese is on the verge of slipping off the waggon, and all it will take is one more shove. That shove comes in the shape of Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) acting like an unfeeling jerk and making a move that rips Terese’s nerves to shreds. How terrible is it going to get?

Kyle (Chris Milligan) learns more about his disease at camp Canning, and it’s worse than he expected. How will he and Roxy (Zima Anderson) deal with the situation?

While Terese and Kyle are having a difficult time, Ned (Ben Hall) is dealing with major first-world issues. Because his polyamorous girlfriend isn’t paying him enough attention, he takes the oh-so-mature step of attempting to undermine the other half of his poly relationship so that he may have Amy all to himself. And how do we anticipate it’ll turn out?

In other news, a new guy has arrived in town, and he’s ruffling Chloe’s (April Rose Pengilly) feathers. And it’s possible that Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes), Aaron (Matt Wilson), and David (Takaya Honda) have reached an agreement. How long do you think it’ll last?

Here’s what’s coming up next in Neighbours.

Ned becomes avaricious

Felicity is adamant about not sharing Levi, which is unfortunate for Amy. It’s also bad news for Ned, who is becoming tired of her preoccupation with the opposite side of their love triangle. Toadie provides him food for thought regarding the whole poly scenario, so he offloads to him. He has an idea that will bring them both what they desire, which he shares with Felicity. Ned has devised a cunning strategy to snare Amy for himself, but will it backfire?

An image of tranquilly

Nicolette, Aaron, and David’s relationship is still strained. Jane is trying to persuade them all to relax and take a breather, so she comes up with an idea: she organizes a family picture to give Isla some happy memories to look back on. It’s a nice notion, but it’s not quite enough to bring them all together for more than a few minutes.

Nicolette has no intention of granting the brothers complete custody of Isla after everything that has transpired, and they are upset. But then David, moved by Nicolette’s heartfelt plea, comes up with a solution that may work for everyone.

Mick is being taken

Mick Allsop’s arrival at Lassiters has exactly the effect Harlow is looking for: he’s awful, and Chloe is stuck with him. Chloe, on the other hand, isn’t stupid; she recognises Harlow’s hand in his hiring and confronts her about her devious, but not foolproof, plan. Harlow tells Chloe she had nothing to do with it, and as Chloe’s stress levels mount, Harlow realises it could all work out better than she had hoped – with Chloe being enticed back to the vineyard.

Kyle’s cancer diagnosis is more serious than he expected

Kyle receives the findings of his scan, which are not good. Roxy does her best to encourage him, but she has no idea how she can help him through this. Kyle seeks to reduce at least one of the difficult times ahead by making a deposit at the sperm bank. Roxy applauds his foresight and urges him to keep going, but he’s having trouble focusing on the task at hand. Roxy devises a plan to, well, lend a hand to him, but her cooperation is not warmly accepted.

The sex of Mack and Hendrix is on fire

Hendrix has the correct idea; he wants this to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for him and Mackenzie. While sparks between a couple are normally a positive thing, they’ll have a terrible consequence in this case. He goes all out, decking the place up with all sorts of loveliness ready for their sexual moments. As Hendrix completes the work, catastrophe strikes: just as Mack gets home, he knocks over a candle, setting the house on fire. They wanted to be a hot pair, but this is a little too hot for them. Will they be able to escape in time?

Terese goes to drink as Paul remains a mystery

Terese’s nerves are teetering on the edge of breaking as she navigates her new world without Paul. She’s pushing herself to the limit in an attempt to block out her demons, but she’s about to burn out. After a long day of work on the presentation, Chloe discovers her sleeping in the Waterhole. Terese unwillingly accepts Paul’s offer to drive her home when he arrives on the scene. However, being in such close quarters with him in the car pushes her over the edge.

She’s done – and she reaches for her old companion, her hipflask – when she comes to the Summit and discovers Paul has changed their presentation without consulting her. Meanwhile, Paul is too preoccupied to notice since, when in Queensland, he spots someone he recognises and can’t believe his eyes. Who is it, exactly?
