The actress is the longest-running female star of an Australian soap opera, yet away from the screen, she is married to her partner of over 30 years. Paul

Fans of Home and Away will recognize Lynne McGranger as the longest-serving female star on an Australian television soap opera.

She joined the Summer Bay show in 1993, replacing original actress Jacquy Phillips in the role of Irene Roberts.

Away from the camera, Lynne has a lovely family and a long-term relationship with her partner Paul, with whom she had an exceptionally sweet start when they first met.

How old is Lynne and where is she from?

Lynne is 68 years old, having been born on January 29, 1953. She was born and raised in Paddington, a Sydney neighborhood.

How did Lynne meet her partner?

Lynne first met Paul at a dinner in 1984, and she asked him back to her home after that. He never left once she made an impression on him, and the couple has been together ever since.

The Home and Away actress revealed that she is still waiting for Paul to propose and that they joked about getting married while they were in need of white.

She shared, in 2014, that it might be time to tie the knot as their washing machine had broken.

If they do get married, she thinks it will be a simple event with a backyard BBQ.

Both of them enjoy sports, thus the couple has a lot in common. The Sydney Swans are their favorite AFL team, and they routinely cheer them on from the stands.

When it comes to technology, though, they are on opposing ends of the spectrum. Lynne claims Paul is a “tech geek,” but she claims it isn’t for her.

Do the couple have children?

Yes, Lynne and Paul share one child together. They have a daughter called Clancy, who is 30 years old.

Paul took over as the primary caregiver for their daughter and was a househusband, which allowed the actress to continue working on Home and Away.

Lynne described him as a nice man who they still enjoy spending time with after 30 years together.
