ITV launches classic Coronation Street scripts after lockout with coronavirus. Corrie and her rural sister soap Emmerdale’s retro scripts will be put on her on-demand ITV Hub network while shooting will be stopped on the series. At the end of this month, Emmerdale will run out of episodes while Coronation Street will continue until June. It’s the first time shooting has been paused on the world’s longest soap, which turns 60 in December.
Every weekday the episodes will air on Monday’s ITV Hub to give “soap lovers a ride down memory lane and an opportunity to relive some of the most famous characters in soapland,” ITV said. Coronation Street scenes from 1995 starring famous Weatherfield characters Bet Lynch, played by Julie Goodyear, Alec Gilroy, played by Roy Barraclough, Mavis Wilton, played by Thelma Barlow, Raquel Wolstenhulme, played by Sarah Lancashire, and Johnny Burgess, played by Michael Baldwin.
