Martin Fowler will be in for another shock in next week’s EastEnders scenes.

Martin arrived home to discover his furnishings being taken from the premises following the recent arrest of Ruby Allen, who has opted to sell her property.

He was then sacked from the club by new manager Dotty Cotton, but it was only the beginning of his problems.

In forthcoming episodes, Zack Hudson runs into a depressed-looking Martin and persuades him to go out for a drink.

He then insists that Martin lives with him and Sharon Watts, for the time being, claiming that the latter know a lawyer who can assist him with his divorce from Ruby.

Meanwhile, back at The Vic, Martin is taken aback when he overhears a lawyer disparaging one of their client’s bumbling ex-husbands.

Will he ever be able to turn his luck around?

Ruby actor Louisa Lytton talked about whether or not she’ll be returning to Walford after giving birth to her first child this summer earlier this month.

“I’m a stay-at-home mom.” I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do with my life, so I don’t expect to rush back to work. But, on the other hand, I’m not sure since that’s who I am.

“Will I have that moment where I realize I need a little more of myself back?” she wondered.”

“I’m going to stay at home for a year and a half, I suppose.” But if I decide to return sooner or later, we’ll figure something out.”

EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays on BBC One.
