Neighbours and Home and Away crossover as Kate Ritchie poses in selfie with Jason Donovan

They are both well-known artists who began their long media careers with a brief appearance on an Australian soap opera.

In a selfie posted to Instagram on Wednesday, former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie, 44, posed hot with Jason Donovan, 54, a Neighbours veteran.

The actors from the serial operas appeared friendly as they posed arm in arm while Jason stopped by the studio of Kate Ritchie’s brand-new Fitzy & Wippa radio show on Nova.

This one is for all the Neighbours & Home and Away fans…, the caption said. Referring to the two people’s respective on-screen soap opera personas, “When Scott met Sally.”

Jason played Scott Robinson on Neighbours from 1986 to 1989, while Kate starred on Home and Away for 20 years, from 1988 to 2008.

Many of Kate’s admirers were enthralled by the image and pleaded with their favorite couple to collaborate on a project.

One fan made the joke that maybe this is a sign that Kate’s Sally Fletcher from “H&A” needs to move to Ramsay Street, and others instantly agreed.

Following her discharge from rehab last year following her shocking drink-driving accusation, Kate revealed she is advancing her career.

The Claremont Murders, a Channel Seven miniseries about the actual 1996 murder of two young women in Western Australia, stars the brunette beauty.

The gripping series offers a previously unseen account of the extraordinary police investigation work in Western Australia that resulted in the killer’s capture in 2016.

Kate thought back last month on her choice to seek professional assistance following her shocking DUI arrest in August.

Ritchie joined a prestigious private mental health hospital in Sydney in December, according to Daily Mail Australia, to assist address her alcoholism.

According to the former Home And Away star, who struggled with various personal issues last year, she decided it was time to get treatment.

‘It was a long time coming. I sought professional help I needed. Sometimes enough is enough,’ she said.
