This week on Neighbours, Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson) and Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) will bid their final goodbyes to Ramsay Street.

The popular couple is preparing to move on to new pastures after learning that they are expecting a child despite a negative pregnancy test.

As fans know, Kyle was initially opposed to leaving Erinsborough, and he eventually battled with Roxy, who was convinced that they should begin a new life in Darwin.

In the heat of the moment, both characters said some extremely harsh things, resulting in a flurry of rage. Roxy, on the other hand, quickly realized that she was indeed pregnant, and she spent no time in informing an upset Kyle in heartwarming scenes.

The much-loved team then opted to start again somewhere else, and they will say their final goodbyes this week.

You’re sobbing, not laughing!

On Tuesday, April 12th, the day of their departure arrives, and Roxy discloses to her loved ones that she is pregnant during their farewell party.

Everyone is ecstatic for them, as you might expect, and Kyle and Roxy say their goodbyes before departing Ramsay Street.

‘I feel like [those scenes] are wonderful,’ actress Zima Anderson said of her final moments on the program to Metro.co.uk. ‘Kyle and Roxy have made such an impression on the street, and myself and [Chris] Milligan have formed such a great bond with everyone.’

‘I genuinely thought [Kyle and Roxy] deserved it. I was overjoyed that the writers gave them a happy ending. Roxy is leaving with Aunty T, who has been a mother figure to her for a long time and got to say goodbye to her as well as all of her wonderful pals. It was unlike anything else, and they deserved a gentle, tranquil plot.

‘Because [Kyle and Roxy] are made for each other, [the conclusion] makes me very pleased. They’re off into the distance, a small bun in the oven! ‘It’s adorable.’

Zima, who first appeared on Neighbours three years ago, said she will miss portraying Roxy.

‘She’s hilarious,’ she said. ‘I’m a bubbly person myself, so I get to keep that enthusiasm in my life, but she’s taught me a lot!’

Despite being overjoyed with how Kyle and Roxy’s story ends, the actress revealed that there is one thing she is very sorry about.

‘I’m really disappointed that I won’t be able to see the pregnancy through, because I begged to be pregnant!,’ she exclaimed. “Jason [Herbison], get Roxy pregnant!” I said to the producer. [laughs] and he wouldn’t.

‘I was terrified that I wouldn’t get it by the time my contract was up. In the end when I found out Roxy was going to be pregnant, I was like: “Do I get the baby bump?”, and he was like: “You can wear it in-between! Off-camera”. [laughs]. The only reason I wanted to be pregnant was to get a really cute baby bump! [laughs].

‘I feel like Roxy would be so funny pregnant, as well. She would be so demanding of everything, and make the most dramatic sit-downs you’ve ever seen in your life! I’m sure of it.’

Meanwhile, after Channel 5 dropped the show from their schedules, production company Fremantle was unable to find another UK broadcast partner, and Neighbours will finish in August after 37 years on the air.

The final episode of the soap will run on August 1, and fans are eager to see how the authors will bring it to a close.

‘I’m so excited to see how it will end!,’ added Zima, when asked about Neighbours’ conclusion. ‘I’m so proud of everyone that is there. It’s such an iconic thing to be the last actors on the show, they should be so proud of themselves.

‘I cannot wait to see what the writers do, because it is Neighbours so it’s going to be absolutely epic! And I can’t wait to see all of my family celebrate and end together. It’s going to be magic.’

Fans have been speculating about which former series regulars will return for the last season of Neighbours.

Regardless of who returns, Zima hopes that Paul Robinson star Stefan Dennis will be front and center where he belongs.

‘It’s not that I don’t want anyone back, but I’m like: “

Please make certain that Paul Robinson is present, and that he is present in a big way! Consider what would happen if Stefan Dennis wasn’t present. He is a true legend.

‘I love him to pieces. He better be there and he better be doing some Paul Robinson stuff! I need to see that, that’s what I demand!’

We wholeheartedly agree!
