Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, NTA 2022 has been postponed as the country enters a period of mourning.

The country began a 10-day period of mourning on Friday in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, so ITV decided to postpone the National Television Awards ceremony. The ceremony was scheduled to air on September 15. The awards ceremony will now occur on October 13—a month from now.

Before the NTA ceremony that is scheduled for next week, ITV executives were forced into crisis talks.

The ceremony was scheduled to be hosted by comedian Joel Dommett at Wembley’s OVO Arena.

The NTAs have, however, done the same after a string of other significant national events were postponed.

The ceremony has been rescheduled and will still take place at the arena by ITV and Indigo Television.

All awards tickets are still good on October 13th.

Other national events have also been delayed or canceled in the wake of the Queen’s passing, including the NTAs.

The Last Night of the Proms, which was scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday, has been canceled by the BBC.

This weekend was supposed to mark the end of the season of daily musical concerts, the majority of which take place in London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The Premier League has decided not to hold its scheduled 10 games this weekend.

To recognize the Queen’s “extraordinary life and contribution to the nation,” the decision was made.

The NTAs shortlist, meanwhile, was revealed last month.

For the TV Presenter award, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are up for consideration once more.

Since 2001, the Geordie team has won the prestigious award each year.

Additionally nominated in this category are Graham Norton, Bradley Walsh, and Alison Hammond.

Ant and Dec have a chance of winning three additional awards, making them one of the night’s major winners.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway both air on ABC.both up for The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, with Britain’s Got Talent potentially taking home the prize for best talent show.

For returning drama, Bridgerton, Call the Midwife, Peaky Blinders, and The Split will compete against one another.

Neighbours, EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Coronation Street will compete for the title of best serial drama.

In the second category, Gillian Wright (Jean Slater), Rose Ayling-Ellis (Frankie Lewis), Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle), and Paige Sandhu (Meena Jutla) from EastEnders and Emmerdale compete against one another.
