Pia Whitesell’s Instagram post of a vase of flowers with a note referring to baby news on Monday had followers give a double take.
The flowers were given as a present to their talent agency friend Lara Tocchini, who welcomed a kid on Sunday, by the Chilean-Australian actress, 37, and her Hollywood power broker husband Patrick Whitesell, 56.
While some fans may have assumed the Whitesells were expecting a kid of their own, the message made it plain that they were just wishing Lara well.
‘Congratulations, Lara!’ read the lovely handwritten message. We’re both ecstatic for you and your kid. ‘Best wishes, Pia and Patrick.’
Lara posted a snapshot of the flowers and letter on Instagram, calling the Whitesells’ coupling name ‘P2’ – meaning P squared, or Pia x Patrick – in the comment.
‘Thank you, P2,’ she wrote. ‘Absolutely stunning Pia later shared the photo on her own Instagram account.
