Sam Frost, who starred in the TV show Home and Away, has finally spoken out about an anti-vax video she released in October, which prompted her to delete her Instagram account and abandon her role on the show.

In the video, a teary Frost says that individuals who refuse to be vaccinated are experiencing “segregation,” and he calls for “empathy” for those who do not get vaccinated.

“I was apprehensive about producing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing,” Frost said at the time. “But I feel like the world is coming to a stage now where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgement, and it’s taking its toll on my mental health.”

“There are a variety of reasons why people don’t get vaccinated, including their medical history, their worries, their family history, religious beliefs, and so on.”

“I want to tell those people who feel like they’re being cut off from society: I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason for it; I’ve discussed it with my doctor and psychologist, and I’m going to keep it private.”

Frost’s account was terminated shortly after the video was widely criticised. At the same time, Channel Seven implemented a vaccine mandate, and Frost was fired from Home and Away.

Frost returned to Instagram in November, assuring fans that she would receive the immunisation. Frost was completely vaccinated on December 26, 2021, but she has since announced that she has “left” her role on Home and Away.

Frost has remained silent about the outrage she experienced after releasing the anti-vax video. The 32-year-old has finally spoken out about how the public’s reaction affected her, claiming she was bullied.

Frost told Stellar, “I got torn to fucking pieces.”

“I think it’s normal to be sceptical of a new vaccination,” she adds of her feelings while shooting the video.

“I was apprehensive about the impact on pre-existing medical issues.” I was concerned about long-term consequences. I was a nervous wreck.

“I worked closely with my psychologist and spoke with my doctor, who was very supportive of my decision to wait [for vaccination].”

Frost continued, “The shaming of unvaccinated people was awful.”

“Friends I’d known for years ceased communicating with me. I never stated that I didn’t want it. “Are you kidding me? I’m not an anti-vaxxer.”
