Where has Kat Slater gone on EastEnders?
Kat was over the moon back in March to learn that Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) had been released from jail on parole. However, as the conversation grew awkward, audiences watched her get a phone call from a mysterious male. She later told boyfriend Kush (Davood Ghadami) she had to get away quickly and before leaving she was seen saying goodbye in Queen Vic.
Was Jessie Wallace suspended from EastEnders?
The abrupt exit was paving the way for the temporary departure of actress Jessie from the series. It was recently reported that she was dragged into emergency talks with soap bosses by the actress’ s set behavior. A source at the time told The Mirror: “Bosses were left with no alternative but to punish her. Scriptwriters are now creating a plot to justify Kat’s sudden departure from Walford.” BBC bosses dismissed further claims that Jessie ranted at crew members when intoxicated on set.
When will Kat be back in EastEnders?
Kat is believed to have been written out of the soap for only three months, but since EastEnders has suspended shooting due to the Coronavirus pandemic that has since been extended Jessie, 48, is on her third stint on Eastenders, having first left the soap as a girlfriend of Alfie Moon in 2000. Before leaving in 2005, the pair went on to be one of the most successful couples on soapland.
They returned for another five years to the series in 2010 when Jessie returned to Albert Square in 2018 alone to take over her part and her character is now Kush Kazemi’s dating market stall manager.
