HOME and Away actress Debra Lawrance has been spotted looking completely different after entering the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
The Australian TV star looked world’s away from her TV character Pippa Ross as she headed to the Oz version of the show.
Debra, 66, was one of the most recent A-listers to be signed for the Australian edition of the well-known ITV talent programme.
Prior to entering the jungle, the actress, who is best known for her work on the Channel 5 program, posed for pictures.
She appeared very different from the iconic Pippa she portrayed in the 1990s episode of the programme.
Debra wore short, curly brown hair with short-cut bangs while performing in the Summer Bay set performance.
As the drama followed her three marriages and the deaths of two spouses, she was frequently seen getting dressed in vibrantly coloured religious attire.
Debra could now be seen in I’m A Celeb photos appearing very different, and not just because of her jungle gear.
As she displayed her slightly older appearance while posing with her hands on her hips, the actor plaited her greying hair loosely.
Debra was introduced as one of the new contestants on the Australian edition of I’m A Celebrity last night. Get me out of this place.
She was accompanied by Married At First Sight actress Domenica Calarco, Australian Idol judge Ian “Dicko” Dickenson, and TV host Kerri-Anne Kennerley.
After seeing the celebrities, however, viewers of the programme were perplexed and admitted on Twitter that they “didn’t know” who the celebrities were.
“Who are these individuals?” “I’m sorry, but I have no idea who these people are, except for Dicko,” one viewer wrote, as another said.
A third jokingly said, “Got to adore how all these ‘famous’ people have to explain who they are to each other.
As Debra met her fellow co-stars and the others acknowledged they didn’t recognise her, the famous people themselves even appeared perplexed.
One supporter questioned, “How do none of these people know who Debra Lawrance is when she’s pretty much the only person I actually do know?”
“How do these people not know who Debra Lawrence is?” a further Home and Away viewer remarked.
Debra went on to act in Neighbours, Please Like Me, and subsequently a stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child after appearing in Home and Away from 2004 until 2009.
