Fans will be thrilled to learn that Dean Thompson’s (Patrick O’Connor) mother Karen (Georgia Adamson) is returning, although Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman), who is significantly pregnant, isn’t overly thrilled about the prospect.
Ziggy and Dean finally welcome their new child into the world following a stressful labor. They are not yet out of the woods, though. The parents are set to confront “their hardest obstacle yet,” according to the network, thus their happiness will only be “short-lived.”
Will they have a happy ending, or may something evil be on the horizon?
Mackenzie opens herself up to love
When it comes to relationships, Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) hasn’t exactly had the best of success. She fell in love with Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams), but he ended up leaving her for Mia Anderson (Anna Samson), and her illicit gambling operation drove Dr. Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) away.
Fans have been desperate for her to finally find true love, and she was blindsided by her ex-fiancé Gabe Miller (Arkos Armont) turning up in Summer Bay last week.
Having previously been left at the altar by Gabe, Mackenzie finally discovered that he accepted $50,000 from her father, Rick Booth, to break it off. After Gabe assures Mackenzie that he still loves her, she dives headfirst into a steamy relationship with the mystery man. Only time will tell if Gabe has any other skeletons still in the closet.
