Tonight’s double-bill on Coronation Street gave Imran Habeeb a terrible feeling in the pit of his stomach (October 1).
It all started with him informing Toyah that he couldn’t meet her for lunch because he was too busy with work, but she immediately regretted it when Michael suggested she surprise Imran with a takeout meal.
With the solicitor nowhere to be found, Toyah’s supervisor Adam informed her that he hadn’t been at work all day and was instead at The Rovers.
Imran admitted that he spent the night of Kelly’s trial at her house after a night out together, but nothing untoward happened, when grilled in the beer garden by a perplexed Toyah, who thought he’d been covertly meeting his ex Sabeen.
When questioned later, Sabeen backed up his tale, but she was interested because she knew he’d slept somewhere else. She then used coercion to get Imran to reconsider his work on Harvey’s appeal.
Imran was startled to see Toyah groveling when he returned home, overwhelmed with remorse — she’d hired a Speed Dahl to smooth things over after doubting his faithfulness.
She apologized for chatting to Sabeen behind his back before urging the pair to be completely transparent in the future.
Imran appeared to swallow his secret and convince poor Toyah that he is the lucky one.
