The list of potential male characters who could be killed this Christmas has been thrown wide open after EastEnders aired yet another “curve ball” ahead of the murder

As the Christmas Day homicide unfolds, EastEnders has revealed yet another enormous development that has significantly expanded the pool of possible victims.

In official spoilers for Monday’s (December 18) episode, the BBC One soap opera identified seven male Albert Square residents who may be eliminated during the holiday season. It appeared that additional identities might be at risk.

Since the February airing of the flashforward scene that disclosed a Walford man would perish at Christmas in the Queen Vic, fans have speculated as to who it might be. Phil Mitchell, Keanu Taylor, Jack Branning, Nish Panesar, Ravi Gulati, Rocky Cotton, and Dean Wicks have been identified as possible victims.

A pair of cufflinks he was donning at the time was the only clue, and since then, admirers have been fixated on the cufflinks as they have been passed from man to man throughout the Square. The hypothesis went into a frenzy in recent scenes when it was revealed that Alfie Moon (Shane Ritchie) was selling cufflinks of the same design.

The shady wheeler dealer decided to sell Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) a complete briefcase filled with the cufflinks. Therefore, any male is now a potential victim; the cufflinks, the most significant clue, have been completely eliminated; consequently, fans are beyond appalled.

One admirer wrote on X, which was previously Twitter, “OMG….. Particularly the earrings! Currently, anyone in the square could obtain them. Even multiple individuals! Indeed, every credit goes to Alfie Moon. Eastern “EastEnders, you played flawlessly.” One more commented: “#Cufflinks” The Christmas clue was absolutely exaggerated out of proportion; congratulations, BBC Eastenders writers!

An additional individual wrote: “Eastenders playing blinder with the cufflinks clue now being every bloke on the square.” A fourth user on social media commented, “I adore the reference to cufflinks; that has thrown a wrench in the works.” Someone else concurred: “This is an exceptional curveball. Outstandingly performed. “Anyone is possible, even individuals not on the list.”

In the flashforward episode, Suki Panesar, Sharon Watts, Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, and Linda Carter were identified as potential Christmas Day killers. However, producer Chris Clenshaw has since disclosed a significant detail about The Six that was virtually unaltered. An aspect that distinguishes the six women is their attire, as each individual was allocated a unique color scheme that corresponded with their persona.

With it being her wedding day, Sharon was in white as Suki was given the colour blue. Stacey can be seen in a bold red dress while Kathy opted for a purple ensemble. Meanwhile Linda wore her statement pink and Denise donned a green outfit.

After admitting the prep for this festive period started more than 18 months ago, Chris revealed: “At one point there was an idea that they were all going to be in different shades of red. But then it just didn’t feel right for various reasons. So we went for individual colours that suit their characters.”
