With additional details about the upcoming Christmas Day wedding being revealed to viewers, EastEnders is undoubtedly thinking ahead.

Even though it’s just February, Kat Slater and Phil Mitchell will be honored throughout the next holiday season on BBC One.

There hasn’t been much success for the pair in getting married thus far. But, new scenes appear to imply they might actually move along with it this time, assuming they can wait ten months before saying “I do.”

A new episode’s promo shows Kat, played by Jessie Wallace, visiting The Vic, where she is joined by Phil, played by Steve McFadden.

Would it be okay to postpone the wedding until Christmas? In the sneak peek, Kat questions Phil.

You’ll have to rethink whether Phil would be disturbed by yet another delay. He makes it quite plain in the video that he doesn’t really care when the wedding will occur, just as long as it does.

As Stacey and Kathy look on, Kat makes fun of his matter-of-fact demeanor, “You’re so romantic.”

As a result of Kat and Phil’s choice, their ex-spouses Alfie Moon and Sharon Watts may have plenty of time to devise a strategy to sabotage the happy pair if they so want. Nonetheless, Sharon seems to be keeping herself occupied in the interim while rekindling her relationship with Keanu.

And given that wedding bells can occasionally ring forebodingly on Albert Square, especially around the holidays, just ask poor Mick Carter, this plotline is certain to include a heaping serving of drama.
