EastEnders will reveal Whitney Dean’s fate tonight when she makes a final decision about whether to leave Walford. Whitney (Shona McGarty) came to the troubling conclusion that she needed to flee last night, following a heart to heart with Max Branning.
After discovering that Leo’s mother, Michaela, has written poisonous posts about her on-line, the devastated Whitney began to fear that her fate had already been sealed. Speaking to Max, Whitney clarified that she could not stand up to Leo and his evil father, Tony, preventing her from having the future she wanted and deserved.
When Max offered an honest account of his own prison experience, Whitney became all the more determined to take matters into his own hands. At the end of the episode, Whitney took her passport – clearly planning to leave the Square forever. Whitney’s contemplates about her choices now, she has some major decisions to make on what to do further.
With her mind seemingly made up, Whitney heads to The Vic, where she shares her heartfelt goodbye with her sister Tiffany. But will Whitney really leave, or will she change her heart at the eleventh hour?
Spoilers next week have already revealed that Whitney is nowhere to be seen as Monday arrives, so fans have to tune in to see how the story outs.
