In EastEnders, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) rarely finds herself at a loss for words, but we suppose it’s challenging to recognise Jada Lennox’s (Kelsey Calladine-Smith) admission that she was responsible for framing Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
As viewers are aware, Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) bullied Jada into hiding alcohol bottles in the house she lives with Linda.
After a confrontation with the Queen Vic landlady the previous week, Jada consented to take part in Janine’s cunning plan to kill Linda. This chat was captured on tape by Janine.
Jada was restored in her work at the salon by Linda after she apologized for what she had said. Jada informed Janine that she did not want to be a part of her scheme to frame Linda.
Naturally, this context was not captured on the recording, which only showed Jada agreeing to commit the crime. Jada followed Janine’s advice, setting up Linda and making the necessary calls for social services out of fear that the audio tape would come back to haunt her.

The BBC One soap opera’s episode from Tuesday, August 31, dealt with the fallout from the entire incident, with baby Annie being taken away from Linda.
Jada grappled with her remorse over what had happened, and she even confronted Janine to let her know they had crossed a line. Jada was threatened with being crushed if she opened her mouth by Janine, who seemed unaffected by the situation.
Jada realized she had struck a pact with the devil right then and there.
She struggled to remain silent, but eventually told Sharon that she had phoned social services, leaving the legend stunned.
What will Sharon do with this knowledge is now the question. Should she inform Linda?
