Fans of the BBC soap opera EastEnders think they’ve figured out who Jed really is and why Reiss despises him so much.
Reiss, who still seems to harbor affections for nurse Sonia, became enraged when Sonia invited Jed into her home to rent a room.
After meeting at Dot Cotton’s funeral, the couple briefly dated, but there was no long-lasting chemistry between them.
They clicked until Reiss ghosted Sonia, then returned to try to rekindle things.
He hasn’t made things simple for Sonia since his return, and his disdain of Jed, the lodger, has raised tensions.

Viewers have begun to doubt the reserved and silent Reiss due to their animosity toward Jed, as one viewer tweeted: “Yes, there is unquestionably a problem. Reiss looks to be the anxious, reserved kind, but I suspect in reality he’s the obsessive, shut yourself in the basement sort.”
one more said: “They must have been working together since, towards the very end of last night’s episode, I saw Reiss look at Jed. I’m not sure why they’re together, but I have no doubt that they are.”
Reiss and Sonia may still work out their romance, but some fans wanted to think he has good intentions: “Maybe he’s simply a genuinely decent guy and Sonia gets the happiness she longs for. Not everyone is a nasty guy.”
