After the Buried Alive prank, Ryder (Lukas Radovich) has become emotionally fragile, having panic attacks when he is agitated and reliving his position of being imprisoned within a coffin and losing oxygen with no way out.
Ryder is gathering goods from the storeroom during a shift at work when he realises the door is jammed and he is trapped inside. His flashbacks return, and he starts frantically pounding on the door, asking for assistance. Thankfully, Justin (James Stewart) is picking up a pizza order when he hears the commotion and rushes to Ryder’s aid.
Justin brings a distraught Ryder home, but Alf (Ray Meagher) is enraged to find Justin in his home. Roo (Georgie Parker) tries to keep the peace by saying that Justin is merely there to assist, but Alf is unconvinced and asks Justin to go. Ryder withdraws to his room as he attempts to cope with the ongoing stress in his own home.
Roo approaches Ryder and suggests that he seek professional help for his panic attacks. Ryder, on the other hand, is more concerned about his home life: Alf has a problem with Justin, Roo has a problem with Alf, and he’s tired of the arguing. He gathers his possessions and informs his aunt and grandfather that he will be going out and being alone until the two can resolve their differences…
