Sophie Ellis-Bextor is filming her forthcoming appearance on Neighbours, and the show has released the first look at her.

Sophie, 41, was revealed as a guest appearance in the Australian drama earlier this week as part of an upcoming plot in which Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan) travels to London to reunite with her aunt Harriet (Amanda Holden).

The Queens Walk, a beautiful stretch along the Southbank of the River Thames at the foot of renowned London landmark, The London Eye, is where the Murder On The Dancefloor hitmaker is currently filming her cameo appearance.

Jemma Donovan’s character Harlow is caught aback when the singer offers some wise words on her late mother Prue’s (Denise Van Outen) behaviour.

Prue died during Neighbours’ dramatic 35th anniversary week in March 2020, as fans will recall.

Filming in London concluded earlier this week, and Sophie’s sequences will be seen in both the UK and Australia next Spring.

Sophie remarked after being cast in the show, ‘Neighbours was a major part of my school days.’ ‘We all watched it, enjoyed it, and discussed it.

‘It’s a thrill to finally be able to say I was a part of it!’

‘Thank you to the entire cast and crew for being so nice. It was fantastic!’

In addition to Sophie, Amanda Holden, who will portray Harlow’s aunt Harriet, will make a cameo in Neighbours’ London plotline.

Britain’s Got Talent judge was overjoyed to be able to film sequences with Jemma in London, admitting that she ‘grew up watching Neighbours ‘in the late 1980s/early 1990s.’

‘To now have the chance to be a part of such an iconic Australian show is simply fantastic!’ she exclaimed. ‘I’m looking forward to working with Jemma in London; it’s a wonderful event for everyone.’
