Get ready for another blast from the past when Clarence returns to your screens! Brad Sanders will be back as his soap-loving character when he makes a special appearance on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in the episode airing on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
Longtime viewers will recognize Sanders as “Clarence,” his character who was always stylishly well-dressed in various hats as he provided summaries of the action in Genoa City every week. Later, he also did the same for Y&R’s sister soap, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL. The popular updates also earned Sanders two Daytime Emmy Award nominations in the New Approaches to Daytime Entertainment!
The “Clarence Update” and numerous other syndicated radio shows, such as “It’s Your World,” a radio soap opera that ran on the Tom Joyner Morning Show for more than 16 years, were created by Sanders while he served as the company’s owner and president.

Sanders can be seen in episodes of shows including LAVERNE & SHIRLEY, BENSON, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, BLACK LIGHTNING, and THE WONDER YEARS. He has previously made brief cameos on both Y&R and B&B. The actor’s credits on the big screen include Bad Boys for Life, Brewster’s Millions, and the upcoming movie based on the musical The Colour Purple.
