Channique Sterling-Brown’s character Dee-Dee Bailey on Coronation Street is about to experience heartbreak when the truth about her partner Joel Deering (Calum Lill) finally comes to light. According to official ITV soap opera spoilers, his big secret will eventually be revealed.
Fans of the ITV soap opera have been wary of Joel Deering’s behavior in recent weeks, particularly after Emily, an irate woman, interrupted their meeting at the Bistro. Scenes involving Dee-Dee’s friend Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) will air next week. Alya decides to do some research.
Alya jokes that he has expensive taste after he loses an expensive receipt from December that was found in his wallet. He has expensive taste and some cufflinks, even though he’s quick to play down any accusations.
Nevertheless, when Alya sees Joel getting into a car with an unidentified woman, her misgivings intensify. Eventually, she makes the decision to show Dee-Dee the CCTV footage taken at the Bistro.
Being aware that Joel isn’t telling her the whole truth, Dee-Dee approaches him and asks to see the real deal. At last, he discloses that he has a daughter named Maise and a wife named Emily.
Joel reveals that following their affair, his wife made the decision to divorce him while she was pregnant.
Joel’s admission shocks Dee-Dee, who is horrified that he has been lying to her the entire time.
Does this mean their relationship is over? Or will she be able to see through his dishonesty?
Calum Lill, a soap star, explained to Manchester Evening News that Joel chose to lie to Dee-Dee for a considerable amount of time because he didn’t want to scare her away too soon.
Calum said: He thinks she’s incredible and puts her on a bit of a pedestal because she’s so smart.
He reasoned that if he revealed his baggage to her too soon, she would turn away.
“I believe he has been waiting for the right moment, but it hasn’t arrived yet.”
The actor disclosed that Joel has been digging himself a deeper hole over time, which doesn’t seem good.
Joel’s shocking revelation about his family may have surprised Dee-Dee, but ITV viewers quickly realized what was going on.
