He was first being cared for medically by Austin Holt (Roger Howarth), who kept him in his cabin. Moreover, he kept Ava believing he had passed away. Then, defying Austin’s counsel, Nikolas left the nation on General Hospital after he was well enough.
He had to persuade Laura Spencer Collins, his mother, played by Genevieve Francis, that he was still alive. In this manner, his son, Nicholas Chavez’s Spencer Cassadine, wouldn’t get his whole fortune. It’s been a while since Laura returned to the city.
