General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will make a realization about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
She’ll realize the single red glove found at Wyndemere was hers, and she must have broken in-and she must have her memory back, or why would she?
General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Prince Returned Late For Ace Prince-Cassadine
On Christmas Eve, Esme unexpectedly altered her plans and brought Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) to the Collins residence so Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) could spend the day with his infant brother.
Spencer and the rest of the household were surprised by the shift, as Spencer had initially planned to visit Esme’s flat. It was somewhat strange that she didn’t pick Ace up again for a few days because she wasn’t seeing anyone new that anyone was aware of.
After going with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to investigate the break-in at Wyndemere and finding that lone red glove, that it was Esme’s didn’t occur to Laura right away. But when she remembered Esme had red gloves, she also realized she must have regained her memories.
GH Spoilers: Why Break Into Wyndemere?
Since Laura is living on her own, she is unable to investigate Esme’s belongings, so she waits to inform Dante of her suspicions. Since she has the extra key that Esme requested when she rented the flat, she could theoretically check in there; Laura is helping to pay for it, so she is entitled.
Laura can only speculate about Esme’s motivation for breaking into Wyndemere in an attempt to make sense of her recollections or fill in any gaps—sometimes it helps. Although Laura had herself blocked out unpleasant events and found closure by going to the location, she chooses not to press Laura to clarify whether or not she can recall the incident.
The only damage done was the broken French doors and Ava Jerome (Maura West) verified nothing was missing so that’s minor, and insurance will pay for the doors.
General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Prince May Be Afraid To Tell She Remembers
Laura understands that if Esme recalls, she would be reluctant to acknowledge it since, among other reasons, doing so would make her accountable for her misdeeds.
Laura only confides in her spouse, Jon Lindstrom’s Kevin Collins, about her concerns regarding Esme’s recollections, and he expresses his wish that Esme had informed them earlier. Resurfacing memories indicates that she is aware of the trauma that led to her amnesia, which may be challenging for her to handle on her own.
Laura knows that and concurs with Kevin because she experienced something similar herself, albeit under very different circumstances and at a younger age.
It’s a positive sign that Esme has undergone genuine change if her refusal to disclose her recollections is motivated by shame.
